Thanksgiving 2019: A day to appreciate and give thanks
Thanksgiving day is celebrated on the fourth Thursday of November – is a really wonderful and magical time of the year. It is a time for expressing gratitude for all you have in your life, getting together with loved ones and sharing a hearty meal with them. The best gift of all to give this holiday season is-your time, it’s priceless, cherished and irreplaceable.
The Thanksgiving tradition started with Pilgrims feasting to celebrate their first harvest in the New World (now America), and although the holiday remains quintessentially American, Canadians celebrate it too, but on a different day.
Did you get the bird?
Thanksgiving could not be completed without a turkey. It should be front and center at your feast – whether it’s baked, roasted, grilled or fried. Keeping in mind that cooking usually takes several hours, so be sure to get an early start on preparation. When the turkey’s in the oven, get started on all those sides.
Thanksgiving Side Dishes.
Side dishes are important to compliment that turkey and enhance its flavor. Cornbread stuffing, green bean casserole, mashed potatoes, cranberry sauce and apple pie with a giant scoop of vanilla ice cream to top it all off.
Make a little Cranberry Sauce for sweetness.
Add 200 grams of sugar, 200 milliliters of water and 1,000 grams of cranberries to a pot and boil for 10 minutes(That’s it). Serve cold and impress everyone.
Put on the Christmas music.
Thanksgiving is an indication of starting of holiday season. Dolly Parton’s home for Christmas could be a good choice to get the people in the festive mood.
